Freshwater lobster (Astacus leptodactylus Eschscholtz, 1823) (crayfish), which is an ecologically and economically important species worldwide, is a species obtained from inland waters, which is among the export products of our country. Crayfish production in Türkiye is based on hunting from natural water resources, dam lakes and ponds. Insufficient food, stock density and low use of barns in crayfish farming adversely affect farming. The aim of this review is to contribute to the development of freshwater lobster breeding by examining the importance of feeding, stock density and shelter use in the juvenile period in freshwater lobster breeding.
